Group Operations Officer (Back Office)

GROUP OPERATIONS OFFICER (BACK OFFICE)

Duties and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute and monitor investment settlements and operational transactions accurately and efficiently.
Perform daily reconciliations across client portfolios, bank accounts and investment records.
Support asset management and treasury operations, including trade processing and cash management.
Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and settlement exceptions in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate operational records and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with custodians, banks, brokers and other key stakeholders.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, systems and service delivery.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Prepare and maintain reports and provide timely operational insights to management.
Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism and integrity in all operations.


Qualifications and Experience
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
Proven experience in asset management operations, treasury operations, or investment back-office operations.
Strong expertise in reconciliations, settlements and investment operations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and resolve complex issues.
Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial systems is an added advantage.
